THE GOAL
Redesign the physiotherapy website.
My physiotherapist asked me to redesign her website using WordPress. It was important that the physiotherapist could do small changes by herself. This is why I used Elements as front end editor.

STEP 1. Clusting Services
In the previous design the user was confronted with a list of over 20 different services, which made it very difficult for users to choose the right service. It quickly became clear that users need more guidance. After interviewing the physiotherapist about all those methods, I was able to identify a way to cluster those information according to use cases. I presented those back to the client and we further iterated on a suitable clustering of services.
STEP 2. Simplify Wording
Additionally the previous website contained loads of terms that would only be meaningful to physicians, not normal care seekers.
STEP 3. Menu Structure
The old website had over around 15 menu items of which many pages only contained a paragraph.
VISUAL DESIGN
Color Concept
As accent colors I chose the blue and purple of the logo. For the background I used earth colors. This would help to set a mood of relaxation and represented the mood of the therapy rooms.
